Schools, teachers, users, and directory moderation
New staging website. Use
https://beti.worldyogaalliance.org/admin/peopleand the linked staging routes. Production and the legacy Django admin are separate systems.
Open the people workspace
Section titled “Open the people workspace”Choose People → People and directory or open /admin/people. The tabs are Schools, Teachers, Users, and Reviews & graduates. Search uses the placeholder Search schools, Search teachers, or Search users according to the selected tab.
Directory changes are business writes. Check the owner and public profile before saving, and use Hide when a record should leave the public directory while its history is retained.
Create a pending school or teacher
Section titled “Create a pending school or teacher”Add a school
Section titled “Add a school”- Select
Add school. - Enter the existing member’s numeric
Member ID(at least 1). The page explains that the owner can be found in member accounts. - Complete
School name,Owner contact name,Owner email, andOwner phone number. - Select
Create school.
The new record is pending. Creating it does not approve or publish it.
Add a teacher
Section titled “Add a teacher”- Select
Add teacher. - Enter the existing member’s
Member ID. - Complete
Teacher nameand chooseTeacher type. - Select
Create teacher.
The new teacher is also pending. If the member already owns a directory record, open that record instead of creating a duplicate.
Approve, hide, recommend, or remove a record
Section titled “Approve, hide, recommend, or remove a record”The school list shows School, Status, Owner, Updated, and Actions. Teacher rows use the corresponding teacher labels. Available actions include:
Approve school/Approve teacherandUnapprove school/Unapprove teacher.Hide school/Show schooland the corresponding teacher actions.Recommend school/Remove recommendationand the corresponding teacher actions.Regenerate school slugorRegenerate teacher slug.Edit school record/Edit teacher record.View public school profile/View public teacher profile.Delete unused school/Delete unused teacher.
Approval and visibility are separate. A record may be approved but hidden. Recommendation is also separate from approval. Delete unused school and Delete unused teacher warn that only an unused profile can be deleted; linked records or registration orders cannot be deleted, so hide the profile instead.
Use Pending only and Show all to find approvals. Use Export CSV for a read-only export or the import workflow below for a deliberate batch update.
Edit a school or teacher profile
Section titled “Edit a school or teacher profile”Open a row and select Edit school record or Edit teacher record. The editor shows Approved or Pending approval and Contact visible or Contact hidden. It also provides Back to schools / Back to teachers, Edit SEO, and View public profile.
Common profile fields
Section titled “Common profile fields”The profile editor can contain these sections and labels:
Identity and membership:Member since,URL alias, and the record identifiers.Contact and social links:Public emailorEmail,Phone number,Address,Website,Facebook URL,Twitter URL,Instagram URL,YouTube URL,LinkedIn URL, andTikTok URL.Yoga and faculty: directory-specific level, style, training, and instructor fields.Owner contactandRegistration rows: registration-specific values when available.Description,Region ID,Latitude, andLongitude.Show contact details on the public profile.
School-specific identity and registration labels include School prefix, School ID, Teacher ID, Expiration date, Other level, Training type ID, School list teacher ID, Issue certification ID, Main teacher certification ID, Main teacher teaching ID, Teacher has teaching experience, and Instructors.
Teacher-specific labels include Teacher ID, Linked school ID, Date of birth, Nationality, Country of residence ID, Expired date, Other level, Yoga style description, Teacher type ID, Teacher experience ID, and Has taught at least the required level.
- Change only fields supported by the current record.
- Select
Save profile. - Confirm the success message and reopen the public profile or list row.
Profile changes are audited. Approval and visibility remain controlled from the People list.
Registration and license boundary
Section titled “Registration and license boundary”The current staging admin source does not expose a separate School license or Teacher license application queue. Registration-related values appear as Registration rows in the directory editor and as school/teacher reference resources such as School level, Training types, Teacher level, and Experience Years. Use the member-facing registration guides for a new application. Do not treat adding a profile or changing a reference row as license approval; confirm the approved workflow with the product owner when a license decision is required.
Add media and documents
Section titled “Add media and documents”For a school, use Add logo or Replace logo; for a teacher, use Add avatar or Replace avatar. Remove removes the current image. The accepted image types are JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF.
Document slots are shown as cover, CV, school details, syllabus, and training outline for schools. Teacher slots are cover, CV, syllabus, and certificate. Each row shows Current document or No document uploaded and exposes Add, Replace, and Remove as appropriate.
Check the selected file and the record before removing media. A media upload can succeed while the public page still shows a cached or fallback image; use View public profile after the save.
Review ratings, event reviews, and graduates
Section titled “Review ratings, event reviews, and graduates”Choose Reviews & graduates.
School reviews
Section titled “School reviews”Select Add review and complete School ID, User ID, Rating (1–5), and Comment (up to 2,000 characters). Check Publish immediately only after the comment and ownership have been reviewed, then select Create review. Existing reviews can be edited or deleted. A rating outside 1–5 or an empty comment is rejected.
Event reviews
Section titled “Event reviews”Event review rows use Rating, Status, and Comment. The status values are Pending, Approved, and Hidden; the actions are Edit, Approve, Hide, and Delete. A comment can contain up to 2,000 characters. Hiding removes the review from public display while retaining the moderation record.
Graduates
Section titled “Graduates”The graduate table is read-only in this view and shows Graduate, School, Teacher, and Status. Select Manage graduates to open the reference record editor when an authorized data correction is required. Verify the school and teacher linkage before editing.
Import existing updates safely
Section titled “Import existing updates safely”Use Import profile updates in the Schools, Teachers, or Users view when many existing records need the same type of update.
- Select
Download schools update template,Download teachers update template, orDownload users update template. - Fill only the columns you intend to change. Use the record ID from the template. A blank cell clears a field only when that field allows clearing.
- Keep the file at or below 500 rows and 1 MB.
- Choose the file under
CSV fileand selectValidate CSV. - Review the rows passed and the preview columns
Record ID,Field, andNew value. - Correct every error shown as
Row {line}, {field}: {detail}and validate again. An invalid file changes no records. - Only after review select
Apply N updates, then confirm the list and public record.
The template is different from the export format. Validate CSV only checks the file; no records change until you select Apply N updates. Treat that final action as a business write and keep the validated file with the change record.
Users and access
Section titled “Users and access”The Users tab shows Account, Contact, Access, Directory records, and Joined. Superusers can use Add member, Export CSV, Disable user, Enable user, and Delete unused member. See Sign in, roles, and administrator access for the member-account and administrator-account rules.
After saving
Section titled “After saving”Confirm the success message, reload the list, and open View public profile when the change affects public content. A saved profile remains pending or hidden until you use the separate moderation control. If a batch import reports an error, correct the indicated row and validate again; do not apply a partially understood file.
