Manage your event bookings
Use this guide after you submit a booking or when you need to check whether an organizer has confirmed it.
New staging website
Section titled “New staging website”Sign in, then open My event bookings. The same link appears in the signed-in account menu as My event bookings; the booking form uses the label View my bookings after a successful submission.
The page heading is My event bookings and the introduction is Track your booking status, event details, and next steps in one place. Each booking card can show:
- the booking reference and event name;
Event date;- participant count and total;
- booking status; and
- payment status.
The status labels are Pending, Confirmed, Cancelled, and Completed. Payment labels are Payment not required, Unpaid, Payment pending, Paid, Refunded, and Payment failed. Organizer payout labels can show Not ready, Awaiting payout eligibility, Eligible for payout, or Payment review required; payout labels describe the organizer side and do not mean that a member owes another payment.
Choose View event to return to the public event page. If a booking is eligible for member cancellation, choose Cancel booking or Cancel this booking? The organizer will be notified. in the confirmation dialog. Enter an optional Cancellation reason (optional), then choose the visible confirmation action. While the request runs, the control reads Cancelling....
After cancellation, the page can show one of these results:
Booking cancelled. Stripe accepted a refund of {amount}. Your bank may take some time to post it.Booking cancelled. No automatic refund was recorded.The free-cancellation period has ended.when the cancellation deadline has passed.
If the page shows Payment review required, follow A refund or dispute needs review. Do not pay again; contact WYA support. Do not create another booking to work around a payment warning.
When there are no records, the page shows You have no event bookings yet. and Browse events.
Production website
Section titled “Production website”The production profile menu contains Event Bookings, but /manage/event-bookings is the organizer flow described in Manage attendees, not a separate member “my bookings” workspace. The production booking page confirms the submission and organizer-contact message, but it does not show a member booking list, member cancellation screen, or self-service refund screen.
For a legacy booking, keep the booking confirmation and reference, follow the organizer’s confirmation instructions, and contact the organizer or WYA support for a change. Do not treat the organizer route as proof that a member can edit or cancel a booking.
Cancellation checks
Section titled “Cancellation checks”WYA checks the event start time and the cancellation policy for that booking. A cancellation can also be blocked when the event has started, the booking is already cancelled, or a payout request is already in a state that requires administrator review. Follow the deadline and message shown on the booking screen.
See Cancel and refund for the member, organizer, payment, and refund rules.
