Book an event

The event directory is public, but submitting a booking requires a WYA account. In this guide, “visitor” means someone browsing without an account; a visitor must Sign up or Log in before booking.

Open Events Directory, choose an event, and read its detail page. Confirm the event dates, price and currency, format, location or online meeting information, organizer, contact details, and available spots. WYA accepts a booking only for an active, approved, future event with available capacity. A member cannot create a second active booking for the same event.

Open Events Directory on staging, then open the event. On the detail page:

  1. If you are signed out, choose Login to book, sign in, and return to the event.
  2. If booking is available, choose Book Now.
  3. If you already have an active booking, the button becomes My booking and opens /bookings?event={eventId}.
  4. If the event is unavailable, the page disables the booking control and displays the reason or Booking is not available for this event.

The booking route is Book this event. The form is a three-step flow:

Review the event summary, availability, price, and participant count. The step can show Availability and {number} spots left. Choose Continue when the event can accept the requested number of participants.

Complete the fields:

  • Full Name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Participants
  • Your message (optional) for special requirements or notes

Choose Back to return to the event step or Review booking to continue. The account is required so the booking is attached to your WYA profile.

Check the participant count, contact information, event details, and Total. Choose Back to correct anything, or Book Now to submit. While the request runs, the button reads Submitting....

For a successful booking, the page shows Booking Successful, the message Thank you for your booking. The organizer will contact you to confirm the details., a Booking reference, and Status. Choose View my bookings to open My event bookings, or Go Back to Event.

The booking is saved before payment confirmation. When the page shows Pay securely with Stripe, choose Pay now and complete the card flow. The page may say Your booking is saved. Complete payment to send the payment confirmation to the organizer. A paid event can show Payment pending, Paid, Payment failed, or Refunded in the booking workspace.

If the payment cannot start or be confirmed, the current messages are We could not start or confirm the payment. Please try again. or Card payment is not available right now. Please try again later. Check the booking in My event bookings before retrying so that you do not create a duplicate booking or pay twice.
