Manage a school profile

You can manage a school only from the account that owns the school record. If there is no school record, WYA sends you to the school registration flow; use Apply for school registration first.

Production website

Open School Registration from the signed-in profile menu. When the page has a saved school record, select Edit Info to open Edit School Info.

Edit School Info

The legacy editor contains:

• School Name
• URL Alias, with the profile URL preview under https://worldyogaalliance.org/schools/
• read-only Level of Registration and Additional Level of Registration (Optional)
• Introduction, using the rich-text editor
• Instructors name
• Instructors certification details
• How many years has instructors been teaching yoga?
• Contact Us: Email and Phone number
• Social Media: website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok links
• Show Contact Info
• Primary Contact: Owner Contact Name, Owner Email and Owner Phone Number
• Location: Address, Location, and the map coordinates when available

Select the save control at the bottom of the modal after changing fields. The email editor can require the email verification control when the school email changes. An existing URL alias must be unique; the page reports the alias error while it checks it.

Images and public profile areas

On the owner profile, the legacy controls are Edit cover and the avatar/logo camera control. The profile has an Image Gallery area. If you own the school, select the add tile labelled Add image gallery; each image can then be opened from its menu and changed with Edit or removed with Delete. The legacy UI limits the gallery to 15 images.

The profile tabs include Introduction, Events, Graduates and Rating. The Graduates tab is school-owner functionality; see Manage a school gallery and graduates.

New staging website

Open School Registration on staging from the signed-in profile menu. The current menu labels are Profile, School Registration, School add-on courses, Teacher Registration, Event bookings, Event payouts and Billing.

If no school is linked, the page shows Create your school profile before managing it. and Start registration. If the record exists, the page header shows Yoga school profile with Approved or Draft, WYA ID, Location and Member since.

Edit and save the profile

In Edit profile, the visible controls are:

• Name and URL alias
• Email and Phone number
• Website, Facebook URL, Twitter URL, Instagram URL, YouTube URL, LinkedIn URL and TikTok URL
• Address, Region, Latitude, Longitude and the map picker
• Instructors name, Instructor certification, Instructor teaching experience
• Primary contact name, Owner email and Owner phone number
• Show contact details on the public profile
• Description
• Save

When changing Email, select Send code (or Resend code), enter Verification code, select Verify, then select Save. WYA can display This email address is already in use. or The email verification could not be completed.. A duplicate URL alias displays This URL alias is already in use.. A missing name and alias displays Please enter a URL alias or a profile name..

After a successful save, the page displays Profile saved.. If the page shows The profile could not be saved., keep the values in the form, correct the reported value and try again. Select Show contact details on the public profile only when those contact details should be visible to visitors who meet WYA’s contact-access rules.

Change images

The header has Cover image and the logo/avatar control labelled Change image. Select a file, adjust the crop and apply it. The staging owner profile uses a wide cover crop and a square profile image; the actual crop dialog appears after the file is selected. A successful upload displays Document uploaded.; a failure displays The document could not be uploaded..

School-only extras and shortcuts

The header also provides Add event, Bookings and School add-on courses. The Your events panel lists Edit event, Delete event, View bookings or Review bookings. The event and booking instructions are in the event section of this documentation.

Below the profile editor, the school owner can manage Gallery and Graduates. Use Manage a school gallery and graduates for the exact fields, limits, search and delete behavior.

What visitors see

The public school profile can show the school name, WYA School ID, Member Since, Valid Until, registration badges, Accredited Courses, Introduction, Events, Graduates, Rating, Contact, Location and the image gallery. Contact details depend on Show contact details on the public profile/Show Contact Info and the viewer’s access. Saving an owner profile does not by itself prove that WYA has approved a draft; confirm the Approved/status indicator.
